Valentine’s Day is a special day for couples to celebrate their love and affection for one another. While traditional activities such as dinner, movies, and flowers are popular choices, couples can also engage in physical activities that strengthen their bond while also promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. Here is a list of some of our favorite active date ideas couples can participate in on Valentine’s Day:

  1. Go for a hike – This is a great way to spend quality time together while also getting some exercise and fresh air. You can find a nearby trail and spend a few hours exploring nature and each other’s company.
  2. Take a dance class – Dancing is a fun and active way to spend time together. You can try a new style of dance or stick with a familiar one. Whether you’re good or bad at dancing, it’s a great opportunity to laugh and have fun together.
  3. Have a workout session – Workouts can be much more enjoyable when done together. You can do a yoga session, take a fitness class, or even create your own workout routine. This is a great way to support each other and reach your fitness goals together.
  4. Go ice-skating – This is a fun and active way to spend time together on Valentine’s Day. You can hold hands, skate around the rink, and enjoy the feeling of the cold air on your skin.
  5. Play a sport – Whether it’s basketball, tennis, or golf, playing a sport is a great way to spend time together and get some exercise. You can play against each other or join a co-ed league to play with others.
  6. Go for a bike ride – This is a fun and active way to spend time together while also enjoying the outdoors. You can rent bikes or bring your own and explore a new area together.
  7. Go Skiing – whether its cross country or downhill, skiing is always a great way to have fun with loved ones while being outdoors and active.

These are just a few active date ideas for couples to celebrate this Valentine’s Day. At Mountain Land Physical Therapy, we are all about promoting active, healthy lifestyles so you can create lasting memories with your loved ones. We hope you all have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
