We have incredible news to share—Bill 196 has officially passed! 🎉 This is a game-changer for both our profession and, most importantly, for our patients. With this bill, physical therapists in Utah will be recognized as primary care providers.

What This Means for You

This victory isn’t just about the profession of physical therapy—it’s about YOU and your health. Here’s how this change will benefit you:

Direct Access to PT – No more unnecessary referrals or delays in care. You can now see a physical therapist as your first point of contact for musculoskeletal issues.

Saves You Money – By eliminating extra doctor visits and referrals, you’ll avoid additional co-pays and out-of-pocket expenses.

Faster Recovery – Getting care sooner means you’ll heal faster, return to work and daily activities more quickly, and prevent long-term issues from developing.

Aligning with Our Vision

This milestone directly aligns with our core vision:

“A primary care physical therapist for everyone to advance healthcare and empower movement for life.”

We believe that movement is medicine, and by making physical therapy more accessible, we are taking a giant step toward a healthier, more active, and pain-free future for all.

Thank You for Your Support!

We couldn’t have achieved this without the support of our incredible community. Your voices, advocacy, and dedication to improving healthcare made this happen. Together, we are shaping the future of healthcare—one step, one patient, and one movement at a time.

Stay tuned for more updates on how we’re continuing to improve access to quality care. And if you or someone you know needs physical therapy, there’s never been a better time to start!

💙 Let’s move forward together! 💙
