Hand Therapy Mentorship at Hand & Ortho
Develop your skills in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation alongside an experienced, collaborative team. As part of Mountain Land Physical Therapy Partners, Hand & Ortho combines a longstanding history in hand therapy with a commitment to evidence-based care, continued learning, and individualized treatment.
Learn Alongside a Specialized Team
Our occupational therapists, physical therapists, and Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs) care for patients recovering from surgery, managing injuries, and living with conditions that affect upper extremity function. Treatment helps patients return to everyday activities, work, recreation, and greater independence.
The team’s approach brings together thorough evaluation, clinical reasoning, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and custom orthosis fabrication. Close communication with physicians helps coordinate care throughout each patient’s recovery.
Grow Your Clinical Skills
Mentorship provides an opportunity to learn from experienced hand therapists and strengthen the reasoning behind treatment decisions. Depending on your experience, goals, and mentor availability, areas of focus may include:
- Evaluating hand and upper extremity injuries and conditions.
- Planning and progressing postoperative and nonsurgical rehabilitation.
- Developing custom orthosis fabrication skills.
- Connecting treatment decisions to patients’ functional goals.
- Communicating with physicians and other members of the care team.
Our team values curiosity, collaboration, and lifelong learning—qualities that help therapists continue growing within this specialty.
