Health and Wellness

Health Insurance Benefits

Mountain Land insurance provides a broad range of services through a network of participating physicians, hospital and urgent care facilities. Our Plan provides comprehensive coverage and benefits for eligible inpatient and outpatient services, rehabilitation services, preventive care, pharmacy, and mental health. Mountain Land offers a High Deductible Premium, High Deductible Standard, and Traditional Copay plan options. Mountain Land covers a significant portion of the premium, with employee contributions made on a pre-tax basis. Additionally, we contribute $750 annually to an eligible HSA for employees enrolled in an HSA-eligible plan.

Dental Insurance

Dental benefits offer 100% coverage for preventative services and provide partial benefits for restorative work and orthodontia.

Vision Insurance

Mountain Land vision insurance through Regence entitles you to specific eye care benefits. Our policy covers annual routine eye exams and an annual hardware allowance.

Health Care - Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Save on taxes by using this before-tax account to pay for up to $3,300 in eligible healthcare expenses. Not eligible with high deductible plans (Premium & Standard plan).

Retirement and Savings

401(K) and Roth 401(K) Plans

Eligible employees* can save pre-tax or after-tax earnings for retirement, with Mountain Land offering a discretionary match based on company profitability. Historically, we match dollar-for-dollar up to 3%** of employee contributions. The plan includes various mutual fund options, loans, and a graduated vesting schedule, fully vesting after 6 years. Enrollment dates: January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1

Holiday Pay

Mountain Land recognizes the following holidays for employees:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • The day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

Holiday Pay eligibility is effective on the employee’s hire date for eligible employees. Holidays are paid based on the employee’s FTE status (e.g., 36 hours/week = 8 hours of holiday pay, 32 hours/week = 6.4 hours of holiday pay). PTO Eligible employees will be paid their normal rate of pay for Holiday Pay. If an employee works on the holiday, they will be paid at their regular rate of pay unless they have worked enough hours during the work week that causes them to qualify for overtime pay as determined by state laws. In that case they would be paid at a rate of one-and-one-half times their regular rate of pay

Paid Time Off (PTO)

PTO accrual begins on the first day for eligible employees*, based on job classification and length of employment. Licensed staff and Executives accrue up to 15 days per year, while Support/Administrative staff start with 10 days.

Employees earn an additional day each year, capping at 20 days for Licensed/Executive staff and 15 days for Support/Administrative staff after five years. PTO doesn’t expire but is capped at 200 hours.

Funeral Leave (Bereavement)

Paid funeral leave is available to full-time employees who lose a family member. Employees are given up to 3 days for loss of an immediate family member and 1 day for extended family.

Education Benefits

Continuing Education Benefit

The policy of Mountain Land is to provide the opportunity for continuing education to its management and licensed staff. We encourage eligible employees to participate in job related Continuing Education to enhance skills and increase knowledge of current trends and innovations within the industry. The following sums are provided for the employees with each licensure:

Full-Time PT, OT & SLP: $1,500 a year
Part-Time PT, OT, & SLP: $750 a year
Full-Time PTA & COTA: $1,000 a year
Part-Time PTA & COTA: $500 a year

We also provide $2,000 to dual licensed professionals possessing ATC and PT licensure. This benefit includes reimbursement for license renewal and CPR certification fees. Full-time employees are granted 2 days of Continuing Education PTO to use if they have conferences or courses that fall on a workday.

Adoption Benefits

A cash benefit of $2500 per adoption is available to parents who place an adopted child in their home.

Life and Disability

Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment

Mountain Land offers free Basic Life insurance of $25,000. Basic Life family coverage is also provided. Your spouse is covered for $5,000 and dependents are covered at $2,000 each. Conversion is available for both employee and dependent coverage.
