A Major Milestone for Bart McDonald and for the Physical Therapy Profession
Diagnostic Solutions and Mountain Land Partners are proud to announce that Bart McDonald, PT, DPT, ECS, RMSK, Director of Clinical Diagnostic Services, has successfully passed the ARDMS RMSK (Registered in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound) sonography certification which is a significant achievement in diagnostic imaging and clinical excellence.
This certification places Bart in rare company nationwide. According to ARDMS listings, he is currently the only provider in the State of Idaho to hold the RMSK credential. In neighboring Utah, there are only approximately 12 certified physicians, and across the entire United States, it is estimated that just 50–60 physical therapists have achieved RMSK certification.
For Bart personally, this is a tremendous professional accomplishment. For physical therapists nationwide, it represents something even bigger, a continued embodiment of the role of Primary Care Providers, equipped with advanced diagnostic tools that elevate patient care, clinical decision making, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Bart’s leadership in this space is well established. One year ago, he presented on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in the PT Practice at the Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) in Boston. This past fall, he served as the clinical presenter for the Utah Physical Therapy Association Fall Conference, delivering a two day course titled “Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and EMG in the PT Practice as Primary Care Providers.” He has since been invited to present a similar continuing education course for the Idaho Physical Therapy Association, scheduled for October 2026.
We invite physical therapists everywhere to join us in congratulating Bart McDonald and to join the growing professional movement toward Primary Care Physical Therapy and diagnostic ultrasound.
Congratulations, Bart! This achievement advances patient care, professional practice, and the future of our profession.
