We are proud to share that Howard Quackenbush II, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS has won the APTA Academy of Leadership and Innovation R. Charles Harker, Esq. Policy Maker Award, after being nominated by APTA Utah. This prestigious recognition honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, advocacy, and commitment to advancing physical therapy through policy and innovation.

Howard earned this award through his substantial contributions to the successful passage of Utah’s Bill 196, a landmark achievement that recognized physical therapy as primary care. His efforts have helped shape healthcare policy in a way that strengthens patient access, elevates the profession, and supports better outcomes across the state.

Howard’s work reflects the core values of physical therapy: advocating for patients, improving access to care, and driving meaningful change beyond the clinic. This award highlights the powerful impact one professional can have at both the state and national level. We are honored to have Howard as part of our team and grateful for the leadership, passion, and dedication he brings to our organization and the physical therapy community.
