Gavin Tonkyro, PT, DPT

Gavin Tonkyro is a Physical Therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where he graduated in August 2024. He has specialized training in Manual Therapy and Orthopedics.

Gavin prioritizes exceptional patient-centered care while ensuring safety, and he emphasizes empathy and understanding in his approach to treatment. His interest in physical therapy began while shadowing a neighbor who owned an outpatient orthopedic clinic during his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida. He gained further insight and experience while interning at the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, specifically in the acute/chronic spinal cord injury wing, which deepened his passion for working with neuro patients.

In his free time, Gavin enjoys outdoor living, traveling, hiking, and camping.
